Changelog
Release News in Portal
In future, interesting information about the AppNavi product can be accessed directly via the portal. This includes information about new releases as well as free training and explanatory videos.
Recycle bin function
AppNavi now has a recycle bin function. If content such as routes, posts, collections, etc. are deleted via the interface, they are not irrevocably lost but first end up in the recycle bin. The objects can then be restored from there for 30 days. After 30 days, the objects are automatically deleted.
Alternate Rule Engine
Additional rule configurations are now available in the Route Planner. In addition to the existing function for activating/deactivating the back button, it is now also possible to configure to which step the back button should guide the user. An alternative step can now be configured in the search function. If the element is not found after the set search time, AppNavi searches for the configured alternative element.
Contract Management
In the AppNavi portal, there is now a contract management module in the tenant settings. This can be used to assign applications to contracts or remove them from them. The new contract management also clearly shows which application causes which consumption within a contract. Trials for new applications can now be requested simply by using the “Request Trial” button in an application.
AppNavi Integration Security
We are constantly working to further optimise the safety of our product. We have revised the component for the direct integration of AppNavi (an-loader) so that it now does without the dynamic code execution (JavaScript eval function). In this way, we are removing further hurdles to the direct integration of AppNavi and ensuring maximum security for our components.
AppNavi standard contents
For new tenants, we now provide standard design content in the AppNavi library, making it even easier to get started with AppNavi. Furthermore, we now offer the possibility to upload a new image or to use an already uploaded image from the media library.
New Chrome Extension
As of 01.01.2023, Chrome Extensions with Manifest Version 2 will no longer be supported by the Chrome Browser and the Google Chrome Store. We have therefore invested a lot of time in adapting our Chrome Extension to Google's new security requirements. The new Chrome Extension will be available in the Chrome Store about 3 weeks after the new AppNavi release. Another advantage of the new AppNavi Chrome Extension is the direct code integration. The AppNavi code is located directly in the Chrome Extension, so that network traffic in the company can be saved.
Portal design and usability reworked
We have greatly revised the design and usability of the portal. This includes, for example, the standardisation of actions and visualizations. In addition, we have integrated various actions into the avatar, for example, to open announcements and collections directly in the portal.
AI-Search for pins
We have now integrated our innovative AI search into the pins. This simplifies the use of pins and reduces the search speed of the elements.
AI-Search for User Behavior Mining
We have now integrated our innovative AI search into user behaviour mining. Processes identified through user behaviour can now be directly converted into routes that also use AI Search.
Reorder functionality for routes in collections
It is now possible to easily configure the order in which the routes are displayed within a collection via the portal.
Reset custom design
The custom design can now be easily reset to the AppNavi standard in the portal.
Interaction objects
The display of interaction objects now directly reflects the published content. It is also possible to switch between the time periods "last 30 days" and "all time".
Publishing options
When publishing a content, the user can now decide whether he/she only wants to make a change to the existing publication or whether the latest version of a content should be published together with the changes.
XPath Search Removed
The ability to configure XPath has been removed for both routes and pins. However, content that uses XPath still works. With the release 01/2023 the compatibility will be removed. Routes using XPath should be converted to AI Search before this release to ensure functionality.
Analytics configuration for Application
It is now no longer possible to deactivate the analytics at the application level, as without the configured analytics a large part of the AppNavi functions no longer work.
