Changelog

Portal Design & UX Improvements
We've undertaken a comprehensive redesign of the AppNavi portal to significantly improve both usability and aesthetics. The result is a professional, intuitive, and consistently crafted user experience across the entire platform. As part of this effort, we've also revamped our automated email communication and updated all email templates to reflect the new AppNavi corporate identity, ensuring a cohesive experience across all customer touchpoints.
In addition, we've introduced a new table component in various areas of the platform, providing users with a more flexible and familiar, Excel-like interface for working with tabular data. To round out the visual enhancements, the Insights Debug Mode has also been adapted to align with the AppNavi dark design for a more unified and modern look.

Complete Redesign of the Announcement Feature
We've completely redesigned the Announcement feature to offer greater usability and flexibility. You can now create announcements without being limited to predefined layouts, while also benefiting from a gallery of standard templates provided by AppNavi. Connected Routes can be directly integrated into announcements, and all announcements can be saved as reusable templates for more efficient workflows. Existing announcements remain editable in their original format, though we strongly recommend migrating to the new version.

Important: Support for the old announcement format will end with the Winter 2025 release.

Content Import Functionality
We've introduced a powerful new Content Import feature that streamlines the integration of WalkMe content into AppNavi. WalkMe routes can now be seamlessly imported using our Content Import Engine, with support for multi-language Excel exports. Before finalizing the import, AppNavi provides a preview of the content, allowing you to review and make any necessary edits. Once imported, route shells are automatically generated — all that’s left is to link the element steps to their corresponding UI target elements.

New Route Step Visualization in Guidance
To provide greater transparency into how users interact with routes, we've introduced a new step visualization feature. It graphically displays the order in which route steps are used, highlights any steps that are skipped by users, and indicates where issues may occur with AppNavi AI Search during execution.

Optimized Content Publishing
We've improved the process for publishing Guidance content by reorganizing key UI elements. This new layout makes the publishing workflow much clearer and more intuitive for users.

Extended Target Audiences Functionality
We've expanded the capabilities of Target Audiences to include support for query string evaluation, allowing for even more precise targeting. Additionally, we've simplified the simulation of Target Audiences to make configuration easier and more efficient. Over time, Target Audiences will fully replace the traditional label system.

Important: With the upcoming release, it will no longer be possible to assign new labels during content publication. Existing labels will continue to function and will still be visible in the publishing assistant, but they can no longer be modified. In Winter 2025 release, labels will be completely removed. All existing labels must be fully migrated to Target Audiences by then.

Insights Trial Now Available
You can now request an Insights Trial for each individual AppNavi app. This gives our customers the opportunity to independently explore and test our new Insights feature within any of their applications.

Advanced Reports for Insights
With the new Advanced Reports feature, you can now create reports directly using SQL queries - enabling real-time analysis of over 100 million events. An intelligent SQL assistant supports you by translating natural language into precise SQL statements, which can then be further refined using the built-in report designer. This gives you maximum flexibility and power when analyzing your data.

Insights Demo Data for Partners
To help our partners showcase the Insights feature in the best possible way, we’ve implemented a provisioning mechanism for demo data. With just a click, partners can now independently generate realistic demo data and use it for presentation purposes — making demos more impactful and effortless than ever.

Interactive Discovery Portfolio Analysis
You can now analyze both individual applications and your entire application portfolio using the AppNavi AI Portfolio Manager. It automatically evaluates usage patterns and key metrics, generating easy-to-understand summaries in natural language — giving you clear insights at a glance.

ASK Insights – Analyze Search Know
Our new feature Analyze Search Know introduces AI-powered data querying within the Insights Data Cubes. You can now ask natural-language questions such as:

“What are the top 5 countries using my application?”

This allows you to gain valuable insights quickly and intuitively — no advanced analytics skills required.
All customer data remains securely within the AppNavi Cloud at all times.

Optimized Bulk Export for Insights
We've significantly improved the bulk export functionality for Insights. You can now export up to 5 million items in a single operation, and selectively choose which columns to include. This not only simplifies data handling but also helps reduce file sizes for faster, more efficient exports.

AppNavi API
We’ve introduced a new REST API that allows you to access both Insights and Discovery data programmatically. This gives you greater flexibility to integrate AppNavi data into your existing systems and workflows. Over the coming months, we will continuously expand the API with additional endpoints to support even more use cases.

Enhanced Security for Direct Integration
We've improved the way direct integration is handled to further increase security. The integration script can now be generated and accessed directly via the app in the Manage Tenants section, simplifying setup while maintaining control. When tenant encryption is enabled in combination with direct integration, the meta file is no longer loaded. This significantly reduces the amount of visible information, thereby enhancing security. Additionally, it is no longer easily possible to exchange the content of an app via the portal, adding another layer of protection.

Steering Activities Removed
We’ve made the decision to remove Steering activities from the platform. Starting with the upcoming release, they will no longer be available. However, the core functionalities have been preserved and thoughtfully integrated into Discovery and Insights, resulting in a more streamlined and user-friendly experience.
The Business Capability Survey is now fully embedded within the Discovery module and included in the Discovery license. Similarly, both the NPS survey and the general user survey have been incorporated into the Insights module and are covered by the Insights license.
