• Locating pinned content (authenticated users only)
• Researching topics across multiple content types simultaneously

Searchable Content Types

The following content types are available for search in the Avatar:

• Routes: Structured learning paths with steps, headlines, and descriptions
• Posts: Articles, blog entries, and content discussions
• Collections: Curated groups of related routes, posts, and other content
• Pins: Bookmarked or highlighted content (available to authenticated users only)

How Search Works by User Authentication Status

Non-Authenticated Users

Non-authenticated users have comprehensive search capabilities across all available content. They are not subject to search restrictions and can access a full range of searchable fields for each content type.

Search Capabilities for Non-Authenticated Users:

• Search content without login requirements
• Access all searchable fields for each content type
• Search by content title and internal content (headlines, descriptions, body text)
• Automatic language adaptation based on browser language settings
• Full-text search across posts and content within collections

Authenticated Users

Authenticated users enjoy expanded access to exclusive content types (like Pins) and have unrestricted searching for Posts. However, some content types have specific search field limitations to optimize performance and focus results:

Search Limitations for Authenticated Users:

• Routes: Can be searched by title only (not by internal step content)
• Collections: Can be searched by title, description, and titles of contained routes (but not step content within those routes)
• Pins: Can be searched by title and description only
• Posts: No restrictions - full unrestricted search across all content
