Discovery Reports
Overview
The Discovery Reports feature allows users to download detailed insights about application usage, departmental adoption, and compliance across their organization. Each report provides a unique perspective helping teams make data-driven decisions, identify risk areas, and monitor overall productivity.
How to download the reports
- Navigate to the discovery page
- Goto the app overview section
- Click on the three dots button
- List of options will appear
- Choose one of the reports types.
- Select the date range
- 30 Days
- 90 Days
- All time
- Custom date range
- Discovery generates an Excel file containing aggregated metrics and user segmentation details.
Reports only include data that meets the criteria for the selected time period.
Purpose
The purpose of these reports is to:
- Give a complete visibility into how applications are used across departments, countries, and processes.
- Help identify compliance risks, shadow IT usage, and PII data flow.
- Support decision-making for IT, compliance, and business leaders with accurate adoption metrics.

Available Reports
Process Coverage & IT Support Report
Purpose:
Shows how each business process and department uses approved applications, segmented by usage frequency.

| Avg. Daily Usage/User | The average number of activity time each user spends per day. |

App Usage by Department/Process Report
Purpose:
Provides a department-wise view of application adoption and user activity across different business processes.

Shadow IT / Unplanned Usage Report
Purpose:
Identifies all unapproved or shadow applications being used across the organization — apps not part of the official IT catalog.

Risk & Usage Report
The Shadow Application Risk & Usage Report provides a complete overview of all applications that are being used without official IT approval. These unapproved or “shadow” apps introduce several operational, compliance, and data security risks across the organization. This report helps identify where, how often, and by whom these shadow applications are being used.
Purpose
The purpose of this report is to:
- Give transparency into Shadow IT usage across departments and countries.
- Highlight applications that may introduce data exposure or security vulnerabilities.
- Support IT governance teams in risk assessment, audit preparation, and remediation planning.

| Criticality | High/Medium/Low — manually assigned in the app catalog. |
| Data Residency | Where the app stores its data (EU, US, Global). |
| AI Productivity Tool | Whether the app is marked as an AI-powered tool. |

AI Innovation Adoption Report
The AI Innovation Adoption Report measures the organization’s adoption of AI-powered applications. It reveals which departments and countries are leading in AI tool usage offering a clear view of innovation maturity across the company.
Purpose
The report is designed to:
- Benchmark AI adoption across different regions and departments.
- Identify teams that are embracing innovation and those needing enablement.
- Support leadership in planning AI investments, enablement programs, and digital transformation initiatives.
